About howru
● We're building a softer, safer, and more aesthetic space to share how you really feel.
Most social platforms are loud, fast, and overwhelming. howru is different. It's a cozy space where emotions come first - a calm, intentional place to pause, feel, and connect without pressure or performance.
💭 Why We Started
howru was born from a simple question: "How are you, really?"
In a world of highlight reels and filtered perfection, we saw a need for a digital space where people could express their authentic emotions without judgment.
We noticed that the internet is full of loud, fast, filtered noise - but not enough spaces for quiet, honest emotion.
Journaling helps, but it's lonely. Social apps connect, but often feel fake or overwhelming.
howru is our attempt to build something in between: a gentle, expressive space where feelings come first.
🎯 Our Mission
We're on a mission to normalize emotional expression and create meaningful, low-pressure connections in the digital age.
By sharing our authentic moods, we break down barriers, reduce emotional isolation, and build a more empathetic world - one vibe at a time.
Authenticity
We create spaces where you can be your true self, with no filters and no pressure.
Safety
Emotional safety is built into our design and community guidelines. Vulnerability should feel safe.
Connection
We foster real interactions grounded in shared emotion, not performance.
💫 What is howru?
It's a soft social journaling app where users post mood emojis - optionally with a short message or photo - on a live world map.
Moods disappear after 24 hours or get archived privately.
You can join public Groups, create private Circles, and connect through features like Daily Connections, Mood Chats, and Vibe Drops. It's emotional, playful, and uniquely real.
🦋 Who We're Here For
