1. Using HowRU

HowRU is a soft, emotional journaling platform. To use the Service, you must be at least 17 years old (or the minimum legal age in your country).

You agree to:

• Use the app respectfully and honestly
• Follow our community guidelines
• Not abuse, reverse-engineer, or exploit the platform
• Not post anything illegal, harmful, or infringing

2. Your Content

You retain ownership of any content you share on HowRU (e.g., mood emojis, text, images). By submitting content, you grant HowRU a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, transferable license to:

• Display and share content in the app (e.g., mood map, chats, groups)
• Analyze and use your content internally to improve the Service
• Create anonymized or aggregated datasets from your content, which may be used for research, AI development, emotional insights, or licensed to third parties (e.g., academic researchers, wellness orgs, AI companies)

We will never sell or distribute personally identifiable user content. Any data shared externally will be stripped of names, contact info, and other identifying details.

You are solely responsible for what you post. We may remove content that violates these Terms or harms others.

3. Privacy and Data

Your privacy matters. See our full Privacy Policy for how we collect, store, and use your data.

4. Safety and Wellbeing

HowRU is built to be a safe emotional space. We may suspend or remove accounts that:

• Harass, impersonate, or harm others
• Attempt to game the app (e.g., manipulating streaks or Daily Connections)
• Violate community norms

We are not a therapy app. If you're in emotional distress, please seek support from a licensed mental health professional or local emergency service.

5. Account Termination

You may delete your account at any time. We reserve the right to suspend or remove accounts that violate these Terms or our values.

6. Intellectual Property

All app designs, branding, and code are owned by HowRU unless otherwise stated. Don't reproduce or redistribute our materials without permission.

7. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms as HowRU evolves. We'll notify you of major updates via the app or email.

8. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Egypt.
